California attorneys in Compliance Group 2 (last names H-M) can earn all of the hours needed for their 2027 Compliance Report with a Sullivan on Comp subscription, at no additional charge.

Two Hours Required on Elimination of Bias

Of the two hours, at least one hour must focus on implicit bias and the promotion of bias reducing strategies:

• The Impact of Implicit Bias (1 hr) - Meets the required implicit bias hour 
• Unconscious Bias At Work (1 hr) - Counts toward the remaining hour

Two Hours Required on Competence Issues

Of the two hours, at least one hour must be on the prevention and detection of substance use disorders, mental illness, and similar impairments.

• Thriving in Volatile Times and Growing Your Practice (1 hr) - Meets the required prevention and detection hour 
• Attorney Wellness and Well-being (1 hr) - Counts toward the remaining hour

One Hour Required on Technology

 Two hours are available. Choose either webinar:

• Artificial Intelligence, Hallucinated Citations and Professional Responsibility in Workers’ Compensation (1 hr)
• Technological Competence (1 hr)

One Hour Required on Civility

• California’s New Civility Guidelines (1 hr)

Additional Hours on General Topics

After viewing the required topics, complete your remaining educational requirements from the SOC webinar collection:

• California attorneys must complete 25 hours of MCLE:

• • 10 of those hours are the requirements noted above;
  • also view 15 hours of additional webinars.

•  California certified legal specialists need 36 hours in total to meet both their MCLE and LSMCLE requirements:

  • the 10 required hours noted above, plus
  • 26 hours of workers’ compensation webinars.
  •  These same 36 hours count toward both the 25-hour MCLE report and the 36-hour LSMCLE report. Both reports are filed at the same time, by March 30, 2027.
